About the project: Covet is a Detroit-based eco-conscious clothing line launching in the near future. The website is still under development, but the branding was developed to grow with the line. Covet’s branding was designed to be minimal and elegant, to appeal to a customer who is both fashion and eco friendly. The product line will be locally and ethically sourced, with natural materials that are luxurious and well-made, and the branding needed to elevate those ideals.
We began with an inspiration board with these goals in mind:
Inspired by natural fabrics, vibrant plants, minimal, open spaces and bright light, this inspiration board draws upon the fashinable, modern, and ethical sensibility of a Covet customer. The look is minimal, elegant, and modern while still appearing fresh and approachable. While the design vision for this makes use of a lot of white and stark pops of black, there are hints of green and earthy elements such as wood, leather, and gold to add warmth. Clean lines are paired with more organic touches for a look that is simply beautiful. This approach will allow the product itself to take the forefront while still lending elegance.
